One of the things that makes Dose unique is our ever rotating selection of coffees from roasters around the country. We've always been impressed with how many great, artisan roasting companies there are these days. Bringing in a fresh round of coffees every couple of months gives us, our staff, and ultimately our customers an opportunity to taste coffees that might be found anywhere else.

Yet, as the days grow shorter this year comes to an end, we find ourselves thinking about the people that have kept us going day after day and will continue to be there for us in the years to come. Like the best of family, the fine folks at Counter Culture Coffee, especially our support team in Atlanta (here's looking at you David, Emily, and Ben), have been kind, helpful, and supportive of what we've done here. And you can always count on having fine CCC in one of our hoppers and lining our retail shelves.

For the past week and for the rest of the month we've gone "home" for the holidays and are all Counter Culture behind the bar and on the shelf. We've expanded our offerings from them and have several new options available by-the-cup and on the shelf. Whether you're in the mood to try something new or are looking for "the usual," we've got what you need to keep the spirit up and the coffee flowing.

Happy holidays!

It's hard to believe that Dose has been serving the surrounding neighborhoods and the West End corridor for nearly 4 years. When we started, we took over the space from an existing store and, aside from a coat of paint and a few new tables, didn't have an opportunity to change the space. Now we have an estimated 500+ people through the doors daily and it is time to do some upkeep and make the space more functional for our customers and staff.

August 5th-16th we will close for renovations to the store. We'll save the big reveal for after it is all done but we can say that the space is going to look completely different. We've always been proud of our product and service and we hope that this change will complete the experience of visiting dose by accurately reflecting our own esthetic. The new store will have some great features that we think you'll love and we look forward to presenting it all when we reopen.

In the meantime, we're super excited to announce that we've partnered up with Slow Hand Coffee Company to keep the coffee flowing on Murphy Road while we are closed! Slow Hand has a brew truck that they have agreed to park next to the store every day during that time. They hand brew some great coffees from Kaldi's Coffee (who we've featured at dose before) and offer a full line-up of espresso drinks as well.

It may just now be mid-summer but we can tell you already that it is going to be a great fall at dose. Stay tuned for more details!
