New Demitasse Menu Drinks!

We've got several new drinks on our Demitasse Menu that feature some of the great products and brands that we proudly represent at dose!

• Cafe Miel:  a shooter-style drink made with local honey, espresso, and Saigon cinnamon. Think about it like a honey coated espresso shot - short and sweet.
• Askinosie Moka:  perfect for the dark chocolate lover. Made with Askinosie's 77% Davao, Philippines Dark Chocolate, espresso, Hatcher Family Dairy milk, and fresh whipped cream.
• Milk Tea:  our take on a classic, served iced or hot. Made with Andrews & Dunham Mount Gray tea (flavored with bergamot oil), real vanilla beans, Hatcher Family Dairy milk and topped with a bourbon barrel aged vanilla sugar.

We've also kept the Sidecar (single espresso + single macchiato) on the menu because it's a great way to check out our regularly changing espresso menu and the Featured Roasters we bring in every two months. Our baristas are excited to share these drinks with you, so ask about them next time your in the mood for something special!

Miel / Askinosie Chocolate Tasting

Join us this weekend at Miel Restaurant for an extraordinary opportunity to learn about, and taste, some of the best chocolate in the world! Miel proprietor Seema Prasad has arranged for Shawn Askinosie, of Askinosie Chocolate, to lead an educational tasting of their current chocolate line-up. This guy knows his stuff - not only has he founded and run the award winning chocolate company that bears his name, but he has spent time on the front lines visiting cocoa farms around the world and forging direct-trade relationships with the farmers. In addition, Miel and Dose will be doing a beverage pairing for the two sessions:

Friday March 29th, 7-9pm - Miel Bartender Adrien Matthews will be on hand to pair beer, wine, and spirits with the chocolates as they are presented. $55 + tax/gratuity

Saturday March 30th, 11-1pm - Shawn's presentation will continue and Dose will be pairing single-origin coffees with several of Askinosie's single-origin dark chocolates. $40 + tax/gratuity

Chocolate Tasting Set + Event

Our new Chocolate Tasting Sets are on the shelf! These come with four bars of single-origin TCHO chocolate, each labeled according to their dominant flavor profile, and a copy of the 33 Bars of Chocolate tasting journal. It's a perfect way to get started with your own chocolate journey and makes an equally great gift to share with loved ones.

Another great way to get introduced to the world of single-origin chocolate is by coming to our Artisan Chocolate Tasting on Tuesday February 12th at 7pm! We'll sample bars from a variety of small-batch "bean-to-bar" chocolate makers and discuss what makes each unique. It's free and open to the public, but get there early because last time we did this it filled up quickly!
